Destination!
Wow. So, I’ve been here for a few days now…just getting over jet lag. I might have also been a bit sick – I had a sore neck and was feeling kinda shaky and such. In any case, I am really happy to be here! Christmas was really fun – my first English Christmas! We got up in the morning and opened presents. Then we had an early dinner, more around lunch time. Some food was the same, but there were a lot of different little bits as well. I had turkey, some roasted veggies (parsnip, potato, carrot, onion), some stuffing wrapped in bacon, mashed potatoes, etc. Had a glass of rose wine with my meal. That night ,we went over to Neil’s grandma’s house and had dinner. I brought over my copy of Apples to Apples and Neil, his mom, his grandma, and I played. What a fun game! I’ve now also got a good bit of English chocolates :D That’s one thing I really enjoy about the English – their food! It’s much better than college food, but that goes without saying. Yesterday I got a Hello Kitty build a bear (it had JUST come out). I couldn’t believe it, and I just had to do it. Would you pass it up???? Today Neil and I are planning on going to see Sherlock Holmes. Our plans keep on getting messed up, so we have been changing our plans left and right. Oh well, as long as I’m here and with him, I’m happy <3
